We want to make our communities better places in which to live and work, and improve and protect local services in the interests of residents. We will work side-by-side with local people, businesses and voluntary groups, and involve them in planning for their area.

1. The Environment

The environment is a vital part of our lives and wellbeing, and we will strive to protect it and take any threats to it seriously.
Labour have the ambition to make the County Council zero carbon faster than is currently planned.
We oppose the current plans for oil and gas exploration in the Lincolnshire Wolds.

2. Young People

The Covid pandemic has had a profound effect on young people.
We will support catch-up schooling, as well as working to extend youth services to help young people recover from this devastating crisis.

3. Streetlights

It is important that people can get home safely, and switching off street lights at night has left many feeling unsafe.
We will therefore ensure county council lights are switched back on, whilst converting them all to energy efficient LEDs.

4. Transport

We will work to connect Lincolnshire so that whether people are moving around by bus, car, train, bicycle, or other mode of transport, people can get to where they need to be more safely and reliably.
This includes better maintaining our roads, and acting on potholes.
