Revive our high streets!

We will work with District Councils to bring people back to our town centres.

This means realising why business are closing, and why people are choosing not to visit them. We aim to make our town centres safe, appealing and lively spaces where small businesses can sit alongside national chains.

“We will build on our local strengths”

Labour’s guiding economic principle is to ensure nobody is left behind

Everyone should be supported to retrain at any stage of their life, so we will work with colleges and universities to prioritise training and vocational opportunities for all ages.

Each part of Lincolnshire has a slightly different local economy. We will build on these local strengths, whether that’s farming, industry, or tourism at the coast and in our historic towns.

Tourism

Tourism can and should be a core part of Lincolnshire’s economy. We will create an updated version of ‘Visit Lincolnshire’ to promote our beautiful county as a tourist destination. We will also tackle the impact of Covid on tourism by lobbying central government for more funding, especially in our coastal areas which have been hardest hit.
